The support to manage and develop the Nias Heritage Museum is not coming from Niasans, but from a Batakness Toenggoel P. Siagian. This modest guy lives in Jakarta. Since 1994, he starts with funding 3 young men from Nias to study at University in Jakarta and then he sends them back to Nias after finishing their study. The three young Niasans (Ottorius Harefa, Nata’alui Duha and Idaman Harefa) work to assist the director of the museum Pastor Johannes to manage and develop the museum step by step.
Through the friendship with Toenggoel Siagian, Nias Heritage Museus has connection with the Ford Foundation -Jakarta. Eventually, Nias Heritage Museum gets a kind grant from the US organization. Computer set, camera and office equipments are also donated by this nice guy.
